Workshop details
Create with nature! Learn clay handbuilding skills while creating your own small dishes, pressed with flowers. In this 2 hour class Kaila will teach you clay handbuilding techniques that will open up the wonderful world of ceramics to you. You’ll be making an array of small dishes and bowls that can be used as jewellery holders, salt dishes, home decoration and more! Then you’ll be learning how to press flowers and plants into your clay pieces. You can choose to leave the flowers in the clay, as they will fire off in the kiln, or remove them and glaze your piece. Student pieces are bisqued, clear glazed and fired after class and returned back in 6 weeks.
What you’ll get:
Ceramic dishes made by you, and fired by Kaila after class
A selection of flowers to press into your clay
A relaxing few hours of making!
